Twitter has been rolling out a fresh new profile look over the past week a�� it is more image-centric, following suit of some of the other social media giants, Instagram and Pinterest. Images are proving to be the way to the audiencea��s heart, as the brain processes visual data 60,000 times faster than words. The new look allows the opportunity for companies and brands to captivate their audience in a brand new way a�� here are some way to take advantage of the improvements:
1- Utilize the larger, across the page cover (1500 x 500 pixels) photo. It is an easy (and free!) form of advertising and building your brand.
2- The profile image has also been upgraded to 400 x 400 pixels a�� you should choose an image that is simple and matches your cover photo, for continuity.
3- Pinned tweets were once only available to advertisers, but now, all users can pin a tweet to the top of their profile for all to see.
4- Bigger tweets, bigger audience. Certain tweets will display larger than others depending on the engagement level of the tweet a�� the more clicks, favorites, and retweets it has, the larger the tweet font will appear, allowing customers to get a better feel for you.
