Facebook, the successor and champion to Myspace, has become the default figure of social media and the online blogging, life journal service for millions and millions of users around the world. Over the past 5 years, the popular service has evolved into more than just a media outlet to keep people in touch. Facebook is branching out to become an ecosystem for social interactivity.
At their annual f8 conference, Facebook this year laid out their future plan for where they foresee the company and service sauntering toward. With Mark Zuckerberg tipping off the venue in front of a crowd of over 2,500 or more attendees, announcing several new products enveloping the Facebook world in three separate categories. With everyone from anonymous login to Audience Network that allows advertisers to target mobile users more broadly.
The theme of f8 for Facebook this year revolved around three key strategies, build, grow and monetize. The idea is to build services and products that will help the company to grow and expand. Through expansion, it is hoped that app developers can then monetize their offerings and improve revenues through the Facebook application.

in the online ecology.
